What does it cost to join the Livestock Lens Program?
Our primary customers are cow-calf operations and we work hard to make sure that our technology is affordable for them. Our tags cost the same as other visual tags. Our scanner cost $75 and our annual membership program cost $1/cattle. For a cow-calf operation with 50 cows and 50 calves, the tag cost is $125, scanner costs $75 and the annual membership fee costs $100 for a total cost of just $300.
How is the data protected?
Livestock Lens provides data to buyers who register with us, in order to provide the best possible pricing for your cattle. Any others (including government) will need your permission, to access the data we store about your cattle. We use encrypted technologies for ALL data transfers, to ensure that data cannot be stolen by un-authorized third parties.
Who are you and where are you located?
Livestock Lens was founded by a group of technologists and cattle ranchers and we are excited about bringing the power of new technology to cattle ranches. We are based in the Midwest (Olathe, Kansas) and we take pride in our location and heritage.
This all sounds great, how do I get started?
We are launching our services on Sept 15th, right in time for the fall calving season. We plan to focus on MO and KS first and our sales representative will be visiting cattle associations in both states. Our tags and app can be purchased at https://tags.livestocklens.com on Sept 15th or after.
